The Evolving New Generation of Black NFL Quarterbacks

QB Patrick Mahomes of the 2019 Super Bowl-winning Kansas City chiefs along with other elite African-American quarterbacks are starting to get the exposure they want. Deshaun Watson (Houston Texans), Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens), Dwayne Haskins (Washington Redskins), Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks), Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers) and Jameis Winston (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) are the most known black quarterbacks known today. They all have their own success when it comes to playing quarterback in NFL. A third of the quarterbacks that led their team to the 2019 playoffs were African-American. The most in NFL History. There are 9 starting NFL quarterbacks that are African-American in today's game. The others that weren't mentioned were; Jacoby Brisset (Indianapolis Colts), Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys) and Kyler Murray (Arizona Cardinals).
